Zhang Boxer was a prominent figure in the late Qing Dynasty China, known for his involvement in the Boxer Rebellion. He was a leader of the Yihetuan ("Righteous and Harmonious Fists") a Chinese secret society also known as "Boxers".
His leadership and role were primarily located in Shandong Province. He played a significant part in promoting anti-foreign sentiments that spurred the Boxer Rebellion. He was known for claiming invulnerability through martial arts and spiritual rituals. Zhang Boxer was eventually captured and executed after the allied powers put down the rebellion.
